Started in 2020, Sycamore Lawn Care was just a job where the founder, Ethan Tibbetts, mowed the yard down the street for some money. Over the years, a few people have joined in on our efforts. The simple side hustle across the street developed into a business with a few more clients. In order to adapt to the new demand, our team had to develop new skills such as marketing, management and customer acquisition. This shifted the business into a more professional light and along with that came expansion and even more customers. More clients allowed us to offer even more services such as clipping, pressure washing, and edging. This required even more equipment, and we set our minds on doing it right. We purchased several new tools such as electric weedwhackers, edgers, and leaf blowers that did not require us to purchase gas. As the years went by, we have worked on more ways to make our business more convenient such as adapting credit card readers, online scheduling systems, and a new website. Our new efficiency allowed us to expand beyond Sycamore to Calkins and Bowes. Now, we are a company with several employees that services the majority of lower-Sycamore. Our support from the local community has taught teach business management/ethics skills to the youth and are helping to move our neighborhood forward environmentally.
